I noticed tody when putting on my last piece of my new 6.8 that the phantom suppressor is not indexed properly on my barrel.  I used the crush washer provided, but it is 90deg off.  Any suggestions?

The washer creates enough resistance that it seems like the FH doesn't want to turn any further, but if you apply enough (15-20lb) torque it will.

Would that be enought to turn it 270deg?  That is a lot of force needed...

Some even recommend 25-30 foot-pounds.

If you don't want to twist on the flash hider that hard you can crush the washer in a vice until you get close.

Personally, I think crush washers are a pain in the ass. And after seeing the OP's rifle (looks nice BTW) I would opt to run the FH down hand tight to the nearest indexed point, put some red loctite on it and call it a day.

Yes, you can turn a FH, using a crush washer, 270 degrees.  I've done nearly 330 degrees a few times.  It'll do it.

Tighten 10-30 degrees (or more), loosen, tighten again (this time it will go further than the last), loosen, tighten, loosen, etc. until you get it indexed.  (You might not even need to do this with the nature of the crush washer, but it's worked well for me.)

If you prefer you can get a peel washer. Or washer shims from McMaster Carr, but both of those are more expense and trouble.

I've turned a new crush washer well over 180, no problem.
