| Who makes a good solid collapsible stock for a reasonable price? |
| Like Jason said, it depends on what you want in your stock. If you're looking for the typical CAR stock, they're all the same. If you want light, rugged, and cheap - get the MagPul MOE stock and source a buffer/tube/spring somewhere. If you want feature rich, you have a lot of choices, but not cheap - MagPul UBR, MagPul ACS, Vltor eMod, LMT SopMod, Rock River Operator, etc. |

Quoted: Is there a big difference in buffer tubes other then Mil spec? If it's a CAR stock with a mil-spec tube you're after, call up Tactical Machining and ask for their 50$ stock kit special. Includes the buffer, the tube, the spring, the plate, the castle nut, and the stock. Everything you need, for the lowest price out there. Enjoy. |

Who makes a good solid collapsible stock for a reasonable price? Well, I don't know what "reasonable" or "solid" mean to you, but, going by what they mean to me, I'm going to recommend the Magpul CTR. It has a lock that, once engaged, pretty much eliminates wobble, making the CTR feel as "solid" as a fixed stock. I'd recommend going with a mil spec buffer tube, and, of course the CTR that's made specifically for mil spec buffer tubes. You should be able to get the CTR, buffer tube, buffer, spring, receiver end plate, and castle nut for right at $150. |

nuufer tubes are mil-spec or comerical. I try and get the mil-spec ones, but don't stay awake at night if I can't get one. What's a nuufer tube? ![]() it is a new finagled buffer tube that comes with free blurred out face. ![]() like those new ''comerical'' toobz?

I am happy with my Tapco 6 posistion stock for $50..Solid stock . Cant see paying $85 for another stag stock that I have that works all the same. Commercial or MIl spec makes no difference ROCK RIver arms, Bushmaster and many more use a commericial spec tube and they run just fine.
If it going to be your one Ar15 dream build gun buy a fancy one..If for the kids to shoot or a backup gun the tapco is fine for a cheap sturdy stock.. |
