Do you need, or should you use some type of ant cease compound on the threads of the barrel nut when installing your barrel?

I don't know if galling would ever be a problem, but if you've ever galled the threads on anything you'd kick yourself in the ass for not.  Also, if down the road you decide to change something, good luck.

I use some moly containing grease.  Works well.

Have heard recommendations not to use anything containing graphite because it can cause corrosion problems in the aluminum.  I use Brownells moly grease and it's good stuff.

Any high temp moly grease works just fine..... I used a dab of the disc barke lube I had sitting around.

I have some of this .  It may be a little more than some moly grease found at a autoparts store, but it meets the mil-spec.  It was recomended in an other thread a while back.  Will it make a difference? probably not but for a few dollars more I think it was worth it.
