I am in the process of building a SBR with a YHM suppressor. My question is about blowback through the charging handle. I have seen a upper advertised with a gas block that has a adjustable knob on it, I just cant seem to find it anymore can anyone help me out.

Thats adjustable allright but I am looking for a upper that has a thumb adjustment gas block no tools.

You could simply get the JP gas block and then go to Lowes for a thumb screw to replace the allen head screw they provide.

I believe Noveskes "switchblock" is thumb-able.

With a suppressor, you will be happier with an infinitely adjustable gas block.  Here is one on mine:

This has the JP block.  With an unsuppressed rifle, you can dial-down the gas pressure so the rifle doesn't slam the carrier and buffer, like 99% of the AR's out there.  Runs nice and smooth.  Of course, you need to do this for the ammo you are currently shooting, as different ammo has different pressures, etc.  With the suppressor, you can dial back the gas so the rifle fires like a bolt gun, and it won't event ejected the spent cartridge.  However, if you turn the gas all the way off, it sucks because the expanded cartridge is very difficult to extract with the charging handle.  In fact, it will piss you off rather quickly.  But with the JP block, you just open the port a little bit and do a test shot.  You can get it where the bolt turns and just starts to move rearward, but still doesn't eject the spend cartridge.  This is totally awesome.  The cartridge ejects very easily with the charging handle, and all the powder goes out the muzzle, no dirty mags, no nasty clean-up, and I suppose no gas out the charging handle (although that has never been an issue with me).

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. The Noveske is what I was looking for but I don't think it will work because I am wanting to have a handrail over the gas block. Looks like the JP will work fine, Just wondering if the setscrew will accescible ?

You could go all out and get a piston upper or conversion. Those you can turn by hand to dial down the gas for when using suppressors
