well, i got my rifle 98% done, all I need is the handguards and they should arrive this friday.  Can't wait!!  This is my first AR and built it myself.  Well, I got a 16" middy from BCM.  At anyrate it is extremly tight between my RRA lower and the BCM upper.  I guess RRA is know for the tightness and it will loosen over time.  but there is a small space between the upper and the lower that I can see through.  Again very very tight fit. but there is a space.  Is that space ok?  any concerns I should be aware of?  I am thinking dust/dirt may get in there and to my lower and/or upper.  Thanks for the help!   if a pic would be helpfull I will get one, just let me know.  maybe a little less then 1mm of space there.

Pics are always helpful, but a little space between upper and lower shouldn't be a problem.

I received my RRA Predator Pursuit last week and mine is extremely tight also. The only place I can see light through when I hold up in front of a light is a small curved up section at the rear.  Pretty damm good IMHO. Much tighter than the creaky Bushmaster that I used to have.

Little space never hurts. Another way to look at it is, that water will run out faster. IMO better than too tight.

i couldn't get a pic to show the space... it is about 3 pieces of paper thick.  my handguards are due to arrive today, so i will be posting a pic of it completed later.  When I due reciever it, I think I will be heading immediatly to sight it and see how well it does.
