To a car wrench? I need to tighten down my castle nut on my stock, right now it is just tightened by hand, I got the buffer and buffer spring in, just need to tighten down the castle nut, is there any other household tool I can use?
It does not look like there is any other way so I assume I am going to need to buy the tool? |

I didn't buy the wrench, so as was recommended to me I used a punch (1/8" I believe) to "grab" the notch and tapped it with a hammer until I felt it was tight.
The right way is to always use the right tool, but anyway...if you decide to try it be careful not to let the punch slip. I did it successfully on both the builds I completed this weekend. Good luck! Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Hi! new here and in no way an expert (working on building my first AR), but I just tightened mine as much as I could by hand... Then taped up the end of a flat head screwdriver with a generous amount of electrical tape, held the tip of that taped up screwdriver in one of the notches and gave it two moderate whacks with a hammer.
Seems pretty solid... |
