My first build is nearly complete; the only part I haven’t decided on is what stock to go with. Since I live in NJ I need a fixed stock. I was planning on going with a Sully stock, but the Sully stock plus a sling mount end plate is pretty expensive.
The only other option I could come up with for a shorter length stock is an entry length stock with a buttstock extender. Has anyone ever tried this setup? If so, how’d you like it? I like the looks of the buttstock extender on Fulton Armory’s website as it has QD sockets; however, I think I’d rather have a 1” extender, instead of 2”. Anyone have one of these? Also, does anyone know who the manufacturer is for this part? The only buttstock extenders I know of are this one from Fulton Armory and the KAC (expensive) and DPMS (no QD sockets) ones. Are there any other manufacturers who make buttstock extenders that I should consider? Are there any other options for shorter length stocks (besides pinning a collapsible stock) that I haven’t thought of? Thanks |
Choate makes a 1 1/4" extension that should fit on an entry stock.
That or pin a collapsible stock at the length of your choice. |
