I built a Superior Arms Lower over the winter and just ordered a RRA 16" hbar upper.

The upper arrived today and everything is ok so far except I can not get the rear pin
to go in all the way, it moves freely without the upper mounted on the lower.

The pin goes in about 3/4 of the way thru and won't go any further.  To get it back out I have to stick a punch in the
hole to push the pin back.

I am sure that it is real close to fitting, what is the proper way to address this, I was thinking maybe the
coating that RRA uses happens to be a little thick in that hole.

ANy suggestions before I try to ream the hole on the upper???

DO NOT REAM THE TAKE DOWN PIN HOLES.

Lube the Take Down Pin with CLP or grease, and tap the pin into position. Over time through firing and disassembly, the pin will loosen up. If you ream the pin holes, you will only accelerate the normal wear that takes place. You will then have excessive play between the upper and lower.

OK, makes sense, I had alread lubed them with rem oil.  I'll give it a tap, I am sure I can get it the rest of the way.

Just wasn't sure if I should force it.

Thanks

Just to throw this out there, I had an issue with my pistol build, same issue, in the end it turned out the buffer tube was threaded to far in blocking it from seating.
And I was able to force it in...
If all else fails try taking the buffer tube out a turn or two.
