Is this a heavy barrel (in the picture)?

I'm not really sure how to tell the difference between a heavy barrel and a light barrel.

Thanks

(I know.....I'm a noob)

Getting both feet in your first pic proves that you have potential!

Actually Hbar relates to the diameter under the hand guards. If yours is about an inch under the handguards it's an hbar, if it has been turned down and tapers under the hg's it's gov profile.

That's true.  It could be a GI profile.  Have to take off the handguards to be sure.  If you takeoff the handguards and the barrel is larger diameter than that in the exposed portion (in front of the sight) then it's a HBar.  If smaller, it's a GI profile.

My bad.

yep, smaller under the handguards = goverment profile.
1.00 under and .750 out front = hbar, heavy barrel
1.00 under and  close to 1.00 (.930- .960) or so = bull barrel
