Hey does anyone know if it's possible to make an ar 15 look like an HK g36c? I mean they both shoot the same round and stuff right?
Just didn't know if it was possible or not. |

haha alright well that's too bad. They look pretty cool. And yea it's a european gun but i mean it's basically an ar15 with a different shell. There's not much as far as BIG differences b/w the two guns. Well thanks for your help. There are huge differences between the two. The entire operating system is different (piston). The bolt carrier is a huge block of steel. There is no charging handle, there is just a paddle attached to the bolt carrier to grab on to. There is no buffer. There is no buffer tube. Different mags. Off hand the only things I can think of that are the same are the caliber, the safety placement, and the fact that they are both rifles. |

Anything is possible, but is it worth the time and effort, it would take an awful lot of work. Besides, its one thing to have a custom rifle, its another thing to have a FAUX rifle.
Buy a used Ruger 10/22 and an AirSoft G36 and mount up the 10/22 inside it, you can plink some tin cans, and NOT have to worry about ruining an expensive good rifle, and have something affordable, I can't imagine the looks you'd get at the range when you tell people you took a hack saw and dremel to an AR to put it in an AirSoft shell. |

I'm still looking into converting a 98 Cavalier into a 68 Corvette. Any hints? ![]() www.j-body.org Where you'll find a post a week from a teenager asking how he can swap a V8 into his FWD sub-compact.
Seriously, just save up and buy a G36 if you want one, you are NOT going to able to make a real G36 for less. Anything you do with an AR, short of the fabrication work that would cost more than a G36, likely will just be embarrassing. The 10/22 in an air soft shells is an option, people do it, because its a Ruger 10/22, its NOT like you lose a lot, as well, the recoil and stress from a 10/22 is probably the only thing that can stay in an air soft shell and NOT destroy it. Think about it, your AR in an Air Soft shell, if that wasn't bad enough, it breaks the plastic and it falls apart in your hands at the range, will you ever be able to go back to that range again, and NOT have people pointing and snickering? |
