Like the title says, I have an update to my 204 Ruger build.  PRS & Panther grip will likely be next, then it will be complete!

Until I decide to get a billet upper...

Nice looking  rifle. I hope to eventually build a .204. Or atleast buy an upper, my next build I plan on starting soon will be a standard A2 type rifle.

yeah boy.

ETA: still debating whether I should have gotten the 3.5-15x, but I wanted something that would really ZOOM in.  I've got some work to do to become more steady @ 22x..

I really enjoy shooting the 204, it's my 2nd in that caliber (1st was a bolt rifle..).  Anyway, I reload, so its fun attempting to match Hornady's ballistics with different powders, etc. & not piercing primers or flattening headstamps.  This caliber is also a good break in between shooting bigger stuff, like that 300wsm that wears my azz out after popping off just a couple rounds.

that's one hell of a rifle u got there.  between the trigger, the bolt, and that scope it's probably worth more than my tahoe

The carrier, I assume you mean, actually wasn't bad.  I got the carrier & put on a park'd bolt/key myself.  It was much cheaper that way, park'd bolts 'wear in' better than hard-chromed, & my bolt was headspaced to the barrel at WOA.  Speaking of which, (the barrel) was not cheap.  & yes, the trigger & scope were expensive as well.  I purchased these parts over a period of time & did my research in terms of who had good prices.  Of course, some things, like the scope & trigger are pretty much MSRP-only items, but I know I got the better, if not best, deals out there for them.  I ordered my barrel back in early Nov 08, then finally got it more than 4 mo later.  Nothing against WOA, they are piled high with orders like everyone else.  That said, yes this was an expensive build, but my money was spread over about 8 months.

This is one heck of a shooter though & I loved the process of putting it together as much as I love shooting it now.  Also, this scope easily goes on several different bolt rifles I have, now that I have converted them to Picatinny rails.

That is a lot of scope on a small caliber AR. I have this scope on a .50 BMG, it's wonderful. You can spend more on a scope (U.S. Optics for instance, don't ask me how I know) but you won't get any better scope than the NightForce you've picked. Congrats and enjoy!
