Howdy all,

I have a barrel that has the alignment pin broken off.

How do I go about getting this fixed and what would be the estimated cost?

If it helps, this is a noveske barrel.

thanks

Grant

Do you mean the index pin that is pressed into the Barrel Extension?

Did the entire pin come out or did it shear, leaving part of the pin still in the barrel extension?

Yep - the index pin.

I knew I had the wrong name.

It sheared leaving part of the pin in the extension.

I bought it that way.

Much to the sellers credit, he is making things right.

The pins are just pressed into place.  I'd drill it, tap it, and pull it out.  Then replace it with another one.

Just be careful, I don't think that pin goes very deep, it ends just past the threads on the barrel.  If you're NOT careful it would be easy to drill past the pin and well into the barrel.

If it was a flaw when you bought it, the seller/producer should fix it or replace it, and that is probably the smart way to go, trying to fix it yourself you could end up messing it up.
