I'm looking for a M4 profiled 16" barrel. Nothing special, 1/9, 556, doesn't have to be chrome lined. Anyone have them in stock? |

akpartskits.com aka Blackthorne aka Vulcan aka Hesse has them in stock for $199 plus shipping. I've now ordered from these folks several times and never had a problem. If the parts are in stock they ship the same day and the package is at my doorstep one or two days later. I've seen nothing to suggest any quality problems with the upper, bolts, FSBs/gas blocks and other small parts I've purchased from them. Back a few years Hesse acquired a truly horrible reputation that they've been running from ever since, but my experience with Blackthorne has been good.

Be wise here and wait even a year to get a decent barrel before you buy Blackthorne. Don't ruin the experience of shooting your AR with such low quality parts. Remember, there is a reason they always have barrels in stock and no other reputable manufacturer or dealer does... do the math, it's not like Blackthorne's a well kept AR secret or something  |
