My Del-Ton kit finally arrived today, so I got to put together my first AR-15.

Go easy on me :), its my first, (and dont beat me up over the barska red dot, once I get the bug im sure ill buy a nicer one, but for now, this will work to play with).

Stag lower, Del-Ton upper.

PMags arrive tomorrow from Brownells, then, its off to the range!!

Without further delay...

Nice...  Check out the Strike Fire for a cheap but nice red dot that pretty much a copy of an Aim Point.  I've heard you can get them for about $125.  I just got mine from Midway for $159 delivered.

Looks good, you'll be happy as hell shooitng it. You can sort out the accessories later. Have you fired an AR before?

I'd probably just ditch the barska straight off, if you got the flip ups.

I just used the irons until i came across the Eotech 553 for $400 new and my wife forced me to buy it. (It happened just like that i swear.)

See avatar.

Nice build.  I built one similar to it using Del-ton Lower / DPMS Upper with Del-ton lightweight barrel.  It's fun to shoot.  I use my flip sights currently since I haven't decided what optic to put on it yet.

I have one of those sights, they aren't bad at all. I ended up putting it on a pistol after I got another optic. I have the Aimpoint Clone from Marsh here, they are pretty sturdy and work fine for the range .

Nice gun!
