I want to put on a Troy low profile gas block on a Bushmaster carbine. After looking at the block i do not understand why the hole where the gas tube goes in is a thru hole and not a blind hole. Am I missing something? How is it going to cycle the gas back into the tube? Is there a plug that I need to get? Can someone please help?

the end of the gas tube that goes into the block is closed on the end, gas feeds up thru the bottom and all the way out the other end.Troy has made a few blocks in their time.....
