This may sound like a stupid question but I need it answered. I am in the process of building an sbr with an 11.5" barrel. I have a 16" barrel with the m4 cutout for the 203 launcher. My question is can this barrel be cut down and rethreaded to make an 11.5"???

Yes it can be done. You will need to open the gas port alittle so it will cycle. I have done a few of them myself for pistols, they work better that factory barrels I have bought.
