I ordered a M16 BCG from these guys about 5 weeks ago and was told it would ship in 3 weeks.  So i tried calling them to check out the status of the order and every time i call i get no answer.  Anyone ordered a BCG from these guys lately?  Do they even have an email address?!

I also ordered from them, but my order is not due until 4/29 (3 weeks).  If nothing by then, I may reposting here.  - Phil

I ordered one over three weeks ago and have not received it.I don't know if they have charged my card yet.I keep thinking it should arrive any day now.If you ordered five weeks ago and still have not received it.I guess I need to keep waiting.

I posted this in another thread.

I just wanted to add my experience with Young Manufacturing. I ordered Feb 23rd (production on Feb 25th) a complete chrome AR 15 BCG. From my searching on this site it seemed as if delivery was up to an average of 4 weeks plus some days for the complete chrome AR 15 BCG (non-NM). So after the 5th and 6th weeks went by and reaching the 7th week, I called with no answer, but I didn't leave a voice mail. I did e-mail him on the April 14th and received a message back from him on the 15th, which stated the issue with "sub-component availability" (I assume the bolts) and my order would be shipping within a week.

My order #10537

UPS dropped mine off today. Hopefully things have caught up for them, if not, don't be surprised if you have to wait longer then 3-5 weeks. It will come eventually.

I ordered mine 5 weeks ago and currently it is on the UPS truck. I emaiked them two weeks ago and they said they had to wait on some subcompenents. I have also heard that ebcause of defects in another maufactures product they have been dropped by a lot of people and Young suddenly got STORMED with orders for their products.

So in short they are running about 5 to 6 weeks on shipping right now, but they are getting the product out the door.

They are a company that offers a first rate product but has a less than wonderful communications system. I'm like others who have posted in this thread that had a hard time talking to someone to actually place my order. I know that they're not a fly by outfit that is on their way out. I purchased a Chromed National Match BCG and Flip-Up Front Sight (I really like this) from them in February and had a good experience with them on shipping times. I had everything within a week. At that point in time they had a few words on the bottom of their home page that said since they are the manufacturer they were always in stock and though the timing of a parts run might have them back three weeks they could always deliver. This qualifier has since been removed from their home page. I think they are like every other manufacturer and are totally swamped.

I told my friend that I was impressed with the quality of their National Match BCG, he did some research on the company and decided to become one of their resellers. He buys and sells a lot of parts on local bulletin boards. To do this requires a large (at least for me ) initial investment in order to get their big discounts. They have been good to communicate with him. He ordered 30 some BCG's both chromed and black along with a bunch of quad rails, sights, gas blocks etc. they were not able to ship the Chrome National Match BCG's with his initial order. They shipped the other BCG's with the first order. It's been about 4 weeks since that time and as of yesterday they said they would be shipping the chromed BCG's the first of next week. They apparently do a group run on their bolts and run them through MPI and other processes. I wasn't aware they did this but this is what my friend was told. They were up front and told him it would be a while and delivered the other parts very quickly (2 days). I picked up one of their quad rails also. Their work appears to be very nice.

I too was in the same boat.....until I realized that the phone number listed on their site was just to a salesman and not customer service.  They guy is getting swamped with calls but not returning them because they are customer service calls and not sales calls.  Im sure he works on commission so I understand if things go unanswered.

I ordered the national match complete BCG on 3/14.  I found the companys phone number on google (not the sales guy listed on their website).  They answered right away and helped me track my order which is being delivered in 2 days per the UPS tracking number they sent me.

The company is legit the customer service is great, y'all emailing and calling the wrong person!!!!

Try this number...

I ordered a M16 Chromed National Match BCG on 2/26 and have heard nothing... hmmm maybe a call would be good. I figured I'd be patient but 8 weeks is pushing it.

I am just curious as to why they want to keep their contact information so secret. One shouldn't have to search real hard to find that information. However, I did get mine and I have to say it is very nice and sleek, kind of wish I ordered a pair.

I ordered 2 chrome national match ar-15 bcg's 4 weeks ago. The initial order said 3 weeks delay. They sent an email last week that they carged my CC and had shipped. They arrived this morning. A few days late but not bad. They look great.

I'm still interested why they don't put that on their website, seems it would have saved the sales guy some grief.

I can add my two cents again here vs. the hijack on the other thread.

I ordered my chrome NM on 2/24 after reading the whole BS about three weeks on their website.  Got the "in process" email right away & waited.

Over four weeks go by - send them a couple emails that go unreplied to, so called them.  Listened to his "I'm real sorry, bolts are the problem, we're on top of it, and yours should ship out end of this week or top of next for sure".

Two weeks pass.  Week six now.  No NM BCG, no emails, no calls.  Start getting "voicemail full".  When I do leave messages, they get no return calls.  Emails get ignored.

I'm sitting at EIGHT weeks now with no chrome NM BCG and cannot talk to the lier in WA, at least––[email protected], by the way.

I guess I'll give the other number a try...but I too wonder why that number and email is not on their website at all.

Patience guys....everyone is overwhelmed with orders.

I got really anxious too but it finally came and it's really nice.

YMMV

I know that a lot of people are overwhelmed with orders––but it's how THEY REACT to being overwhelmed that says a lot about a company.

Change your website to state the truth about realistic ship times  -vs- Keep the usual it will ship in 2-3 weeks when you know it's not true
Post a "we are swamped" message on the site like a lot of retailers have done & warn about ship times -vs- give not indication, leading you to believe they are okay
Return customer calls and emails -vs- silence
Post your customer service number on your website -vs- post your sales number and don't answer it or return voicemails

More personal to me
Tell your customer the truth about when the item will ship -vs- lie to them and tell them it will ship next week for sure
Ship out orders place on the 2/24 before 2/26 -vs- shipping orders based on when they were received
(don't get me wrong, I'm happy you got your BCG, not a slam on anyone else...just venting pissed because I'm getting jerked around)

And, yep, you are right.  I already have one of their NM––they are fantastic.  Wish I could say the same about their customer service.  But right now, I can say that their customer service & fulfillment sucks 100% gas.

Hit the nail on the head.... Often times with whatever Im buying on the internet I place my order based on how long Im told the item will take to ship.  I wanted to finish building my rifle 2 weeks ago... not 3 weeks from now.

Called young today and spoke with a very helpful woman.  She said they had all the parts ready but it wasn't assembled yet. (and the assembly guy wasn't doing the chrome carriers today).  Then she told me she was going to go put it together herself and ship it out today. Sweet...

I just talked with Laura on the phone at Young. They have been waiting on bolts.Thats what is holding everything up.I ordered mine (BCG) around the first of April and Laura told me I should be receiving my order in another week to 10 days.Ok I can live with that.If I get it within 2 weeks I'll be happy.I expect most companies that produce AR15 parts to be behind on shipping orders out.I guess  we should try to be patient with these companies most are working thier asses off trying to get orders out the door.

All I need is the BCG, not the bolt itself.  After reading all this, I'm very hesitant to call and ask if they would be able to get just a carrier out in 3-5 weeks.
What do you think?  Call or just order and hope for the best?

I am sitting at 5+ weeks and NO response to voicemail or emails. I understand that the industry is busy, but if you quote a delivery time frame and are unable to meet it, then a common courtesy is to update your customers.

Go ahead and order if you don't need it anytime soon and don't expect any form of communication until it shows up at your door.

Great quality, but terrible communication.

So I ended up googling the phoenix branch and found the number. Called them and someone answered the phone! They looked up my order and said that that it should be shipping next week. They are waiting on a batch to come back from the chromers and I am part of that batch. They are expecting it back on mon/tues and should be shipping shortly thereafter.

Ordered on 2/24 - still don't have ar15 nm bcg.
How the hell did those of you that ordered after then already receive yours?
I guess I'll try the AZ phone number.
I've had about enough of Young Mfg.

Makes me want to get into the mfg business...because if incompetent business idoits like the ones running Young can still have a backlog of business...imagine the possibilites for somebody that could actually find their ass with both hands and a map.

Received on March 12th

Very happy with the BCG, great quality.

One minor thing, the gas key wasn't staked, it did have red loc-tite though.

Cancelled my February 24 order from those assclowns at Youngs & ordered the same damn part from Spikes.  They have them in stock & you don't have to put up with Young's bs - from WA or AZ, as I found both a joke.

If you do have to wait, it is worth it.. I didnt order from them but I have the AR-15 NM BCG, It's the best BCG I have ever used. so easy to clean and the NM BCG's are built a little heavier then standard AR-15 BCG's imo if you are going to order from them you mine as well go all the way and go for the NM..

Latest delivery news.

Ordered National Match Chrome bolt carrier assembly on 4/8/2009.  Advised on 5/21, the product is shipped.  That is 6.15 weeks, vs the 3 weeks quoted on their website at the time of order.  Shipped via UPS, but the tracking number is not recognized at UPS.  Will check later.

I ordered 4 BCGs and got the order confirmation on March 12th.  Was quoted 3 weeks with a 5 weeks max via phone and from the confirmation email.  5 weeks was acceptable at the time of purchase.  After 5 weeks I called and left voice mails and sent emails about once every week or 2 until last week when I couldn't wait any longer.  I canceled my order last week via voice mail and email since nobody will respond still (9 weeks with no response).  Ordered them from RRA last week and got the ship confirmation yesterday.  I'm sitting on 4 custom AR15 for people that are just waiting on their BCGs which I planned on having 5 weeks ago at the latest.  I could have dealt with a 6 or 7 or 8 or even the 9 week lead time if somebody would have responded to me and let me know what was going on.  Needless to say their extremely poor customer service has left a bitter taste in my mouth.  I'm extremely irritated and will NEVER do business or suggest doing business with Young to anybody.  I would much rather give my business to a company with even mediocre customer service.
