Finally!  I bought a Mini mill  and an 80% receiver and some 0% forgings about two years ago with the intent to machine my own lowers.  I had pretty much abandoned the project due to the cost of tooling up the mill and the cost of parts.  At any rate, this is my first build.  M&A 16" CAR Kit with 80% receiver.  The rifle shoots like a dream. 4 1/2# trigger pull.  One inch group off sandbags at 50 yards with open sights.  200 rounds of various ammo including wolf without a hitch.  This is going to be the home of my cmmg 22lr conversion.  I made a couple of mistakes, I broke a bit in the rear takedown spring and detent hole twice.  The first I got out no problem but the second is permanent.  And, I scratched it up putting in the lower parts kit.  I learned alot and have my workholding thought out to machine my 0% forgings.  What is more, I have a riffle that already has alot of personal history.  Currently, I am working on a few 0%-100% lowers.

Thanks for looking.

I too did not have the funds.  I purchased the mill for hobby machining.  I already had a small lathe and a metal shaper.  Again, I really had lost interest in ARs all together due to lack of funds, but got back into it due to the current electoral stimulus plan.
