| I am in the middle of trying to get parts together for an SPR build. I already have a Stag assembled lower with a PRS stock. I am not sure if I want a 20in or an 18in. barrel. I can order both with either a rifle or a midlenghth gas system. How should I build it? I saw an article on the M110 SASS and really want kinda a clone to it. What says the hive? |
| I recently built an SPR with an 18" White Oak Barrel with a midlength gas system on an LMT lower. It runs great. I liked the look of the 18" barrel and just wanted it to be somewhat close to a Mk 12 copy. I also went with the Vltor Emod over the PRS, at the time, just because I didn't want to change out the buffer tubes right now. |

If you're building an SPR it should be an 18" barrel. A DMR takes a 20" pipe.....try looking up both in Wikipedia for some good info and specs.
