I just picked up my new Spikes stripped lower this afternoon from my ffl dealer. All excited i come home to put my Double Star lpk in. I have it fully assembled and i went to rotate the selector switch to fire it went fine, went you move it back and was unable to. So i took the grip, detent and spring out and still could not get it to rotate. I noticed it was hitting the end of the trigger assembly. Then i put in the detent and spring and grip and took the hammer and hammer spring out and that seemed to release some pressure from the rear of the hammer and it rotated beautifully. Now my question to ya'll experienced folks is, how do I correct this problem?

| Do you mean you could not get the selector to go back to safety after you fired? If the hammer was not cocked then that is what it is supposed to do. The selector will only move to safety when the hammer is cocked. Maybe I misread what you posted but it may be as simple as that. Good luck. |

This forum has got me addicted to AR-15s now. Welcome to the disease. It's expensive, untreatable, and never goes into remission. You're pretty much fooked. FYI: Don't drop the hammer without the upper in place. If you have to (function check) catch the hammer with your thumb and slowly lower it. |
