I am looking for some advice.

I'm building a 9mm AR-15 and looking for recommendations on a 9mm  Magwell Conversion Block.

The C Products cost about $100.00 while the RRA cost about $150.00.
Any thoughts about the best value & pro's & con's on various brands?

thanks,

Bob

I would recommend the RRA - with the tensioner you are able to adjust and position it to work with your mix of bolt/mag/upper/etc.

A place to start looking for information is in the “Rimfire and Pistol Calibers” area of this sight. You’ll find a lot of info on the different block and magazine configurations for 9mm. There’s some good first hand experience with what works and what won’t with the different setups.

I’m using a a Hy-Tech block to shoot with unmodified IMI German contract UZI mags and it runs flawlessly after a little fitting. At 8$ a mag this setup is hard to beat. This block does make you use a mag release that is different from the regular one.
If you want a setup that uses the standard mag release, then the RRA/Colt is pretty appealing. They have been in the game from the beginning. With those setups pick what magazines you will be using and get the block that works best with them. I've got a 2-piece Colt block that I'm saving to make another dedicated 9mm rifle for myself.

I have no personal experience with the C-products mag block, but the feedback on the forums hasn't been kind to the C-products mag block.

Have fun!
