i want to get my HBAR barrell turned, threaded and (Ny) perm, attach a break ..  but i was thinking i wont be able to remove my gasblock (flattop pic) since i wont be able to remove the muzzle device..

id like to eventually put some type of grip system instead of the standard grips...

i could cut the block in half and take it off that way..

my question is do they make a two peice clamp on stype gas block so it can be removed when needed without removing the MD?

Yes there is one mfg'd by YHM but its for .750 dia barrels..if you have a bull barrel i'm assuming the diameter is .936 at the gas block so that doesn't help you much.
Also, you need a muzzle break to shoot .223?

legally he can not have a flash hider, so to cover the EVIL threads on his rifle, he needs to permanently attach a brake or a thread protector.

If you want rails you have a couple of options after having your muzzle device permanently mounted.

1) get the rails installed at the same time.

2) use non free float rails

3) use one of the free float rails that uses the factory barrel nut.  DD and Troy and probably some other companies make these.

4) when you decide to get rails have the muzzle device removed and then reinstalled.  Permanently installed doesn't mean you can never take it off again, it just means you can't just unscrew it.  Blind pins and silver solder can both be undone, just not with simple hand tools.

Probably the least problematic way to Permanently attach a muzzle device is the blind pin.  Its just a pin that has a "TAC" weld on the end of it and ground down flush.  You can grind/drill the TAC weld out and pull the pin or drive the pin out (Depends on how you install the pin) then unscrew the muzzle device.  Of course the muzzle device could get marred or damaged removing the pin, but if your lucky and skilled it should be small enough that the marring/damage gets filled in again with the tac welding when re-attaching the pin and when ground flush you won't notice it.

Seems easier to me then sweat soldering the threads. Of course people that have done it several times or more, or pros with the right equipment, might give you a different opinion.
