I am looking for the write up on the Safety Selector Detent.  You Tap your lower for a Hex Screw and it keeps the spring from flying out if you take your stock off.  I think that Spkies dose it.  I searched but I didnt come up with any thing.

Thanks

Are you thinking the takedown pin?  I've not seen one for the safety selector.

I just did this for a pistol lower.  Mine took a 4-40NC tap just like the writeup says.  I didn't have a tap that small laying around, but it was only about $4 at Sears for the tap and a drill bit.  The 4-40 x 1/8" set screws are a little harder to find - they're smaller than what Lowes/Home Depot and Ace had around here.  I ended up going to an industrial fastener supply house, and all they had were 4-40 x 1/4", so I had to trim a few extra coils off the spring to get everything to fit.  Oh, and you'll need a 0.05" hex key for the set screw.  Not too hard to find, but not all hex key sets have one.

Not enough room to do it in the safety channel. This is because the spring is housed in the grip. As previously said, I believe you have been reading about the take down pin modification.
