When you install a new windage drum, do you use a new roll pin everytime?

Is time, wear and tear going to wear that part so much it could fall out?
I think the tension from the detent and spring would be enough to prevent that.

This is regarding A1 uppers.

I replaced the A1 sight with a A2 and used the same old pin when I put the windage knob back on....not fallen out yet. The spring pressure should keep it in.
