Can somebody direct me to the installation instructions for the door.  Thanks a bunch.

Here is a picture of one assembled.

There is a pin that holds it on with a clip that goes on the pin (the gold colored part on the right side of the pin).
The pin is held captive by the barrel nut and the clip keeps it from moving to the left.

There is a spring that has a short and a long leg.  The long leg contacts the port door and the short one the receiver.

also, give the spring a turn to put pressure on the door.  Here is a good article:

Thank you so much.  I was confused about the c-ring and thought it may go somewhere other than where you described.  I don't have a barrel yet so therein my confusion layed, lied, lies, lays, whatever.

Thanks for the photo.

My pin was much shorter.  When it was installed into the two ears, the little notch for the clip lined up between the ejection door and the the forward ear.  Hope the picture helps explain it.  Well anyway, thats how I installed mine and it works just fine.  Actually the pin is in between the two and is protected from being knocked off.  Has anyone else seen one that installed that way?

That's actually how I did mine at first.  Then I saw how much pin was sticking out the back.

So it depends on what size pin you have.

My friends have always laughed at me and my installation method. I use dental floss with a loop tied in it to pull the short end under with the pin only partially started in the spring. It may sound silly but works flawlessly in a matter of seconds and no pin holes in fingers.
