Hi I would like to build an AR 15. Can anybody tell me how hard it will be? I know very little about ARs and this will be my first gun build also can anyone point me in the right spot for parts?

Read all of the stickied topics up at the top.  Try to learn as much as possible before just buying off of impulse.

And to answer your question, its not hard at all to build an AR.

Wow, first post and ready to build?  Welcome to AR15.com.

Look at the tacked threads at the top of this Build it Yourself forurm, and read a bunch of the other threads here for some of the finer details.  Take a gander and see if you can follow the instructions there.  It will take more tools to assemble the upper, than the lower, but both tasks are managable with patience and a couple-three hours time.

First thing needed:  work bench with a 4" or 5" vice and clear space to both sides, allowing you to point the barrel either direction.

Parts?  Click the Vendor buttons above; click the Equipment Exchange above; go to Gun Shows; surf to Gunbroker or other favorite sites for parts.

Good Luck.

as long as you can follow instructions theres nothing to worry, as for ar parts most are standardised to mil spec so everything should be plug n play.
I assembled my lower and got a complete upper, thats the route i took.
