Would like to build a carbine with the rails extended to the muzzle. I know i need a low profile gas block is there anything i need to look for when picking one out, also is there anything i need to look for on what barrel i picked. I would use 12 inch rails or no? p.s i want the gas block under the rails

Edt: Yah i know there will be a few inchs still visible and yes 16 inch

You say you want the rails to extend to the muzzle.....normally longest rail is 13.2", so unless you're building a SBR there will be some barrel sticking out a few inches.You'll need a low profile gas block to fit in the rail,Are you talking 16" barrel?
