I have a buddy on the local p.d. that is a lefty, and wants to build an AR. I referred him to the Stag line, but he doesn't want to wait for one. I can get the stag upper receiver and bolt assy, but the barrel is the part that's still going to be hard to find.

I have seen barrels that advertise a rifle extension as an ambi extension, and the one with M4 cuts for right handed only. Why is this? Can I not use a barrel with M4 cuts with the stag left handed upper? From looking at one of my barrels with M4 cuts, it appears symmetrical. Why wouldn't this work with a lefty setup?

Thanks in advance!
