Who can give me a review of Bushmaster barrels? I checked the website but could not find anything on specs.
chrome lined?
1x7 or 1x9?
How, in your opinion, do they compare to other barrels?

TIA

The ones I've bought have all been 1/9 and chrome lined. I don't know if they offer a 1/7 now or not.

Bushmaster makes very good barrels.

Availability of 1/9 is much higer than 1/7 from Bushmaster.

I am not positive but I think all Bushmaster barrels are chrome lined (with exception of SS, Match etc)

If I remember correctly (and I may not) they are also made of 4150 chrome moly as opposed to the more commonly used 4140 chrome moly. Having said that, though it may be a more desirable barrel most people would never put enough rounds through the pipe to appreciate the benefits.

Love Bushmaster!! Send them your upper receiver and for $251.50 (235 (barrel assembly) + 16.50 shipping), BM will assemple and test fire it for you. If you include your buis, BM will also zero it for you. Awesome barrels, great service, fast turn around. Call customer service first for an RMA #.

That being said, BM barrels are 4150 and great!!!!!!  This is based on many, many BM barrels.

If you call Customer Service, they usually have 1/7 in most configuartions, but don't advertsie it.

Bushy barrels are a great value, IMHO.

Except for their NM and Predator/varmint style barrels (and stainless, of course), they are all chrome lined, and 4150 to boot. They are relatively inexpensive, too.

Some have said on this thread that they are available in 1-7, which I was unaware of; I think 1-7 is overrated (sure to generate flames! I read somewhere that .mil uses 1-7 to ensure that heavy tracers are fully stabilized out to 1000 meters. Not sure if true, but anyway I think 1-9 works just fine for nearly all uses, and is better for lighter rounds).

At any rate, without options or extras, a Bushy 16" M4 type, or 20" gov't profile, barrel ass'y (barrel, guards, gas tube, flas suppressor, delta kit, the whole shebang), chromed 1-9 4150 steel lists at $235. Last one I bought arrived in about a week, total w/shipping was about $250. Can't beat it.

Bushy cust. service is top notch, too, BTW. Buy with confidence.

They make good barrels.  Not the best, and not the worst.  No park under the FSB if it matters to you.  1x7 twist is available as a special-order (non-catalog item) on some of their models; definitely on the 20" gov profile.  I had one of those and sold it recently on a complete rifle.  It is also available on some of the M4gery type barrels.  Most of their barrels are chrome-lined with the exception of the SS barrels and the DCM barrel.  I've used several on builds and wouldn't hesitate to do so again.

Awhile back I bought a new 11.5" 1/7 HB BM barrel from GDS on the EE for my SBR project.
I couldn't happier with the bbl. Shoots every bit as good as my old eyes can see.
