The ones I have done or just black. I did have everything disassembled. The stuff is really really easy to use. Some say it scratches easy, But I have never had a problem with that. I probably put 5 layers of it on mine

Did you do the pins as well?  I'm curious if duracoat on the faces of the pins holds up when putting the lower back together.

The tricks to duracoat are:

Degrease and clean all parts really well.  Don't handle any of the parts with bare hands afterward.
Don't touch anything after you paint it for a day or two.  Don't assemble it or touch it with bare hands for a week.
Don't shoot it  or rough handle it for 3-5 weeks.
Don't paint an AR barrel with a light color of duracoat (at least non-high temp duracoat).
Do these things and it will last very well.

Personally I don't have the patience so I like to use bake-on finishes.  Norrells, KG Gunkote etc.
