I can't get the muzzle break to align correctly on the barrel. What is the trick?

The trick is to use a peel washer and remove layers from the washer until it clocks correctly.

do i get those at a harware store or are they specifically made for firearms?

To install break with compressed washer you will need the barrel vise. I did not have one and used piece of wood with barrel diameter hole drilled out and cut longitudinally. It worked but had to sand paper the washer so when tighten by hand I had to turn it about 1/4 " before perfect position

1/4" or 1/4 turn? just want to make sure sanding it now and am getting pretty close
