Ive had my stag arms ar15 for about 2 years now, and the really loose fit between the upper and the lower is really annoying, the problem is, if you look on the left side of the rifle IE the side with the safety selector, the upper is forward and pushed to the right, and you can see a lot of light between half's , what is causing this problem the upper or the lower, i was planning on just buying a stripped lower or a stripped upper to remedy this, and yes Ive tried the accuwedge and everything else known to man, don't want the jp pin either, if needed i can post pics showing what im talking about

thanks in advance

I've got one lower and upper combo that is tighter than dicks hatband when I go to push in the rear pin.  That upper on a different lower is fine.  That lower on a different upper is fine.

My bushy upper barely fits in my RRA lower. I have to use a little mallet force to get the rear pin in and can still see a little light between the rear of the upper/lower. However they both go bang just fine.

I have Stag lower with Delton upper and is prety loose; the rubber wedge takes most of the slack. The same upper is OK on DPMS lower but not perfect either.

Get calipers and check pivot and takedown pin distance tolerances as well as any other measurements replace the one or both thats way out of spec's could be ones at max spec's an other is min spec's. If you look at drawings there is a lot of tolerences allowed.
