I went to swap out the FSB on a Bushmaster Optics ready upper, these have the shaved FSB.... I had purchased a used FSB from the EE.
The new one is appox. 1/2 hole diameter from fitting. The bottom hole lines up on the barrel and holds the handguard ring but the top holes location is off by half of the hole. The hole location/ spread is 1.503" (C/L) on the takeoff FSB and its 1.630" (C/L) on the replacement FSB. The Bushy FSB used tapered pins and the holes are different diameters on one side vs the opposite side. The EE FSB came w/ dowel pins and the FSB holes are the same diameter staright thru.? Anyone ever run into a FSB that would not line up on the holes? Do different manufacturers have different hole spread lengths? I see different sizes listed for barrel diameter but never a listing for the length between the holes.... Any help would be appreciated.... |
