Folks

I am looking to build a replica of the M4 I carried in Iraq
I have found 16 inch barrel with the M4 length gas system
Can I have it cut down to match the 14.5 profile?
How would the gunsmithing for the cutting cost?
Should I keep looking for 14.5 instead getting the 16

Thanks

I suggest Adco Firearms, if you go and cut it down.

While your barrel is there, might as well have them permanently attach a muzzle device as well in order to bring it up to the legal 16" length.  Pricelist is easily found from the link, but if you find it expensive, remember that you get what you pay for.

You may come out with more money if you get a 14.5" barrel instead, but you'll still have to permanently attach the flash suppressor.
