I have not seen this question asked but I am sorry if it is a repeat. I bought a lower parts kit from a gun show this past weekend  and have had a problem with the bolt catch roll pin. The woman I bought it from assured me that she had the same manufacture as RRA and that the parts weren't made in China. The pin is a solid piece of metal and looks a lot like a take down pin detent. The last AR I built had a different LPK and the pin looked like a piece of rolled metal. The new one will not fit through the holes in the receiver. Separately it can fit through the bolt catch but not through the receiver.  What if anything can I do to make it fit? I don't want to force something that isn't right. Is this a common problem? In any case I'll just order a new one since they are like .50 cents.

thanks everyone,

JB

I've never seen a solid roll pin for an for the bolt stop. Get the correct piece.

Agree
It's probably an extra detent pin, put in by mistake. My RRA had coiled pins.
