Ok guys I need some help.  This was the first AR that I ever built.  I finished the LPK and then added a A2 buttstock the only prblem is that when I shake the lower from side to side I can hear the buffer and spring moving around.  Not sure if this is a big deal but my RRA does not do this.  I know before everyone starts in on me why would you wanna shake it side to side I have no idea but I did and its weird.  Could the A2 stock not have come with the right buffer and spring ie. mil spec or comercial or is there only one type.  I know its not the car. length.  Need help please

I had the same situation when I installed an A2 stock.  Thought it was the buffer, but turned out to be the spacer.

Check your stock where the upper screw threads in to see  if there is a void area between the end of the buffer tube and the end of the inside of the stock, if so this spacer fills that void, fits on the ned of the buffer tube or you can do what I have done the past and just use a nut that is thick enough to take up the slack, place it between the buffer tube and the inside of the stock then thread the screw into the stock.

A2 stock is longer than A1, but uses the same tube?

The A1 and A2 stocks share the same buffer tube (Receiver Extension). The spacer shown above is used when installing the A2 stock which is longer than the A1.

Do you have the correct rifle length buffer and spring? Or, did you by chance install a carbine length spring?
