I am wanting to get a Quad RAS to put on my carbine.  I am wanting to get rid of the front sight and get a long RAS with a flip up sight.  My question is, has anyone ever cut the front A2 sight down to fit under a RAS instead of buying a low pro gas block?  Thanks.

I've done it, I even tried being lazy and leaving it on the upper while using a bench grinder, but to get my LaRue rail over it I had to take it off and test fit a few times, but if you use a dremel you could probably leave it on the barrel
