What is the best way to personalize my lower receiver? Having it sent out to be etched or getting is not an option (on a tight budget). I see the AR-15.com/store has 1" vinyl stickers for this purpose, is vinyl the best option or will any kind of sticker work? If anybody knows of any ideas please share, trying to go for a badass personalization, not tacky. Thanks

I'd be interested to hear this too.  Also, at the risk of hijacking the thread, who does the laser etching and how expensive is it?

Personally, I have no desire for a direct engraved lower - if I did want something, I would use one of these as they are removable.

How do those attach?
Sticky backing?
What are they made of?

My favorite:

They're aluminum (IIRC) with an adhesive back.

I'm sorry but, 30 bleeping dollars for a sticker!?  I'd give my 8 year old a metalic magic marker first!

It is almost as cheap to have it laser engraved.  Those prices are nuts IMO.
SPikes Tactical engraved a Golden Retrieve head on the side of my SBR for only $75 IIRC and that included the art work.  The next one they do for me will only be $5 if I recall what she told me correctly.
