I am considering the RRA AR4002 CAR A4 Complete Rifle Kit, with Chrome Lined Barrel as my first build. This would involve only building the lower, is that correct? Any comments on this or any other kits avaialble/ Thanks for any info!

Yes, you supply the stripped lower, and have to install the Lower Parts (trigger, bolt release, mag release, etc), and attach the buffer tube and stock. You'll need a pair of pliers, some tape, hammer and punch, and a spanner wrench for the jamb nut on the buffer tube.

As for the upper, give it a good cleaning, and install the pins to attach it to the newly assembled lower and go shoot.

Thanks for the comments. I like the idea of the complete kit less the lower. Has anyone purchased the RRA kit?

I ordered direct from the RRA website on the 23rd of December. I emailed them and they said there was a possible 13 week delay on it.

I ordered a complete upper from RRA on 11/20. God only knows when I'll see it.
