Has anyone used one to install a barrel?  Is it to much torque on the upper?  Do I run the risk of breaking anything?  I can borrow one for free if it will work.  I would just buy the action block but everywhere I have looked is out of stock and I REALLY want to shoot this thing!

I prefer the action block.  Midayusa gets the action blocks in stock regularly but they have been getting sold out pretty quick.  I got on the backorder list for one and it showed up 2 weeks later.

Lots of barrel installs with mine. Action blocks limit some configurations.

Not sure which is which I have the white one that goes up into the upper and attached with pins.

worked great but I did have to shave a small amount off the front to attach the barrel nut and retention ring on a DD Lite Rail

I have the DPMS claw. It works just fine and can handle all the torque you can give it.

The one I got from DPMS has built thousands of uppers! I love mine!

I have one from Brownells which is very similar to them all.

This one.

They can be had for less if you look around.  I love it for barreling.  Very sturdy.  I have used the DPMS tools and love them too.

Would be happy to send it to you if you pay postage and a deposit that I will refund as soon as you send it back.  Might be into it $11 with Priority shipping.  Less slow truck, which would still get there fast since you're not far away from WA State.

IM me if you need a hand.  Would be more than willing to help out.  If I didn't get the help from the folks on this site, I would be lost!
