Hello all. I am building my first AR. I was wondering if someone can recommend a nice trigger. I was thinking of the RRA 2 stage? Any suggestions? Thanks!

I will keep a eye on this thread also, I am looking one too,, I don't know whether I want a one or two stage, I have never felt or shot a two stage,, I was looking hard at the Timney Trigger for 190 dollars,, it woudl be  straight drop in,

We have been using the CMMG 2 stage triggers with great success.

I have both a RRA and CMMG 2 stage.  I like them both but the CMMG is better for precision work as it is adjustable.  If you want a nice but more stock trigger the RRA might be a better choice.  Just my take on them.  Some others may  have a different opinion.

I am currently running a WOA tuned RRA 2-stage that I got from ADCO and it is wonderful.  I also have a Bill Springfield tuned single stage that feels great too but I think I like the RRA a little better.

RRA, CMMG and LMT all make nice 2 stage triggers.

My LMT lower has a very sweet factory 2 stage.

I have the RRA two-stage (right out of the package - not modified, finagled or massaged) on my rifle.
The pull is vastly better than the rack-grade trigger.

JP. Blows the RRA out of the water. But then again, I really don't have any use for a 2-stage trigger.

I'm interested in this as well.  I've only replaced one AR trigger and that was using a Timney drop in on a dpms 308B that I have since sold.

I'm interested in the RRA match trigger for a DPMS sweet 16, but I don't know how hard it will be to install it.  Where is the best (cheapest) place to buy a RRA trigger?

I just installed a RRA 2 stage in my bushy dissipator , installed just like a standard trigger group , it is sweet. I paid a buck twenty for it ,I think BCM has them in stock yet, they come with instructions .

I thought my NM RRA was fantastic, then I got a Geissele SSA.  The SSA not only feels much nicer, but it is much more durable and will last.

I was under the impression that most of these match triggers would last as long as any of the others.

The guy from ADCO (Bigbore I think) just recommended Geissele triggers over all others very strongly in another thread. Said that SOCOM is changing over to their triggers in all future units. I have heard other good things about them also.

I have several of the Timney triggers, and would highly recommend them.  They are simple to install, and are hands down the best trigger pull I have ever expeirenced. If you really need the 2 stage action, then the Timney is not the way to go.  If you are looking for a major upgrade to stock that imrpoves your accuracy and enjoyment, then the timney is the best I have found.

For reference...I used to shoot for a rifle team so I appreciate high accuracy and consistency, and I love to do tactical style shooting so I appreciate simplicity and reliability.

Good luck choosing.
