Beautiful job! Just finished a 20 inch barrel build as my first AR; if I build a shorter barrel AR, I am referring to this build. Nice gun....

Im whoring this out today...

I Finally finished my 9mm PCC AR SBR.  Got my form back at the beginning of the month, so then I really started working on what I wanted.  I'm happy with how it turned out.  I still need to take it to the range, since I just built it yesterday.

Parts List:

Joe Bob's Spartan Glock Lower
MVB ARC-X 9mm Stock kit
Tactical Link Pistol Grip
Rise Armament RA140 Trigger (Has been sitting in my safe since I got it on sale for $90 last year.  Feels okay so far)
Bad selector
Remaining lower parts are from a CMMG LPK

New Frontier Armory Side Charging 9mm Upper
Faxon 4.5" Tapper Barrel
Faxon Gen 2 9mm BCG
SLR 5" Mlock Rail
SLR Linear Hybrid 9mm Comp.

17.5" OAL with Stock Closed
22" OAL with stock fully Extended

I am still trying to determine if I want a VFG, or a Finger stop.  I have multiple brands of both (no MLOCK VFGs but you get the point) That I will need to try.

Be sure to reverse your cantilever mount so that it gives you better CH clearance and eye relief.

Copy that.... definitely will reverse it with the Vortex 4X12 I am installing this week. I will be saving the Burris 1X4 for a shorter barrel build. Did I jut say that out loud? I haven't even finished my first build and I am already thinking about my next build. This AR Hobby is addicting...

The Vortex 4-12 will be a good addition to your rifle.

Which one are you installing?

It is very easy to come up with a new rifle in your mind with a spare part, be it scope, handguard, stock, or muzzle device.

I like 1-4s on 11.5-14.5" guns, so go forth and grow your collection

Nice seeing a URX2 on a mini-recce.

Just a guess, but I imagine he wanted an ODG front sight to match the the rest of the gun, and didn't want to cerakote the gas block front sight.

Recently completed my first AR build...  have swapped out a few parts and added some others since putting the first few rounds down range.  I grew up shooting mostly shotguns and handguns, but after hog hunting with a friend’s 300 Blackout, I was hooked!

Decided to do a budget 300 Blackout build for my first, primarily for HD and occasional hog hunting.  So far, it has run like a champ with Remington 120gr OTFB and S&B 124gr Factory Ammo.  Currently feeding it handloaded Hornady 125gr SSTs over 17.6grs of H110 w/ CCI #400 Primers.  Not planning on any subsonics at this time...

PSA Freedom Upper
16” 300 Blackout Nitride 1:8 Pistol Gas Barrel
A2 Flash Hider (Phase 5 Fatman on the way)
PSA 13” M-Lok Free Float Handguard
AIM Surplus H4 Nitride BCG
AIM Milspec CH
Nikon P-300 2-7x32 Rifle Scope
Ozark 45* BUIS
Strike Industries Cobra Tactical Foregrip
Streamlight Polytac LED w/ Leapers Offset   Mount
UTG QD Bipod
Noreen Billet Lower
Magpul MOE Carbine Stock
David Tubb Lightweight Buffer Spring
PSA Carbine Buffer
RTB Single Stage Nickle Teflon FCG
Magpul MOE Grip
Magpul P-Mag 30rd Mags
Impact Weapons QD End Plate

I wanna say my folding build is done.

Magpul SL-K and the law folder is the perfect LoP for me.

The barrel is a Voodoo pinned/welded manimal. The gas block is a pinned "Super Gas Block".
Most steel parts of the rifle are either Nitrided or Melonited.

it's a Rock River arms upper and it came with the front sight / gas block / 3 sling attach points, all in one assembly.
the reason for the Magpul front sight is because i want to put in a low profile gas block to replace all of that, which is next on the "to-do" list

I've had the form 1 for about 8 months now and just got around to building up the lower.

10.5" barrel
Geissele MK4
DD irons, but they're gonna go soon cause my astigmatism and irons don't work well together.
Rugged Surge 762, short configuration.
LWRC Compact stock, the compact buffer tube system is on another rifle but I like the stock.

4.85 lbs without the optic or sights. 5.46 lbs with them according to my kitchen scale.

Here's the parts list.

A 12" Brigand Arms Edge handguard and a MFT Minimalist stock would put the whole package under 5 lbs.

Really nice. I'm on the fence for my next barrel between the 3-port break and the flash hider. Do you find the break to be very effective?

I haven't had the chance to find out yet. The barrel was the last piece. It was in the mailbox when I got home from work today. I probably won't get to shoot it until Saturday.
