| I am building my first ar. Im still trying to decide to get the 16 or 20 inch barrel. I was thinking 20 but would like to get the m4 ramps. I cant find a 20 with the m4 ramps. Do they make that much diffence or should I go with the 16 inch barrel with the ramps. I want to build something reliable with good acurracy. |

Don't base your rifle pick on whether or not it has M4 ramps. What you are going to be doing with it should be the determining factor on barrel length. There are plenty of ARs out there with regular rifle ramps that are extremely reliable. If you can find one with M4 ramps, great. If not, don't let it be the deal breaker.
They were mostly designed for full auto fire in less than ideal conditions with less than ideal magazines. Pick what you want and go to town! |

They were designed to improve feeding in M4's during full auto fire. They are not necessary in a semi auto. Nic |
