Forgive me for these simple Newbie questions that I may be asking but I just bought my first AR-15.  I found a Stag Upper 6H 24" Bull Barrel with free-floating handguard and a RRA lower with 2 stage trigger and A2 stock.  Rifle only has 100-200 rounds through it, I got it for $799.  I thought that was great  considering local pawn shop wanted $1300+ for a new Bushmaster Predator and $1200+ for a new Stag 6H model.

Anyway, I wanted to change the handguard to a 4-rail system.  Like I said that rifle has a 24" barrell, I've looked at some handguards and I assume that the rifle length is what I need.  It currently has the one piece alum free-floating handguard.  What size(length) do I need and from what I can tell, it is farily simple to change out.  Is this correct?

Thanks for the help guys,
Andy

It's going to depend on your setup.  I'm not familiar with that gun.  But if it is a solid one piece handguard and you've got a big gas block, I'm not sure if you can remove the handguard without also taking off the gas block.  This would mean it's going to involve a little more work.  It can be done though.  So don't let this dissuade you.

From what I can see of the picture, the gas block looks rather large.  I haven't gotten the rifle yet, so I don't know for usre. There is a picture, on Stag's website, look under the complete upper halves section and it's the 6H upper......
