I have a good idea how to make a stock ( I know I'd have to try multiple times to get it right )

However, how can I make a bull-pup stock.. to put a trigger forward of the reciever?

Thanks!!

idont think you can with an ar because of the way the trigger is setup. plus how would you get around the buffer tube?

You could do it, but it would have a huge LOP and a heavy trigger. Are those sacrifices worth taking a few inched off?

the buffer tube goes away and is replaced by a bolt with the return spring on top or smaller like a M17 or a Ciener Bolt.

The trigger would be connected to the back of the disconnector so a "pull" of the forward mounted trigger is transmitted as a "push" forward on the disconnector thereby releasing the hammer to strike the bolt.

The Bolt has a bumper spring to allow for a less abrupt shock when it hits the back of the weapon, then mounted on the side or the top is a  spring allowing the bolt to be pulled forward, (instead of pushed as in a standard AR).

ZM Weapons got rid of the buffer tube by putting the recoil spring above the barrel.

If you installed that system, you would be able to put the rear face of the lower receiver right to your shoulder.

I recently also thought about this when I took off my stock with a ciener kit installed and realized that an AR15 with a ciener kit doesn't need a stock, buffer or tube.

So in theory you can make a larger ciener type bolt, get rid of the stock, and mount a trigger forward.

I don't see this.  The disconnector only hold the hammer while the trigger is held back.  When the trigger is released, the hammer jumps up to the trigger sear face.  At least that is how I understand it.

I see what you mean.  I was thinking of it too simply.  It would take a lot of force to push the disconnector like that.

One problem with this configuration, or any AR-based bullpup, is the trigger linkage must span the upper and lower. The motion must transition from one to the other and linkage be independent for takedown. The M-17 lower housed all of the linkage, and the FCG is AK-based.

FYI: The ZM "rhino" carrier gas key sits higher than the standard key, exiting the upper higher; the gas block/tube must be correspondingly raised to mate with the key's extension.

I have a busted Hesse/Vulcan lower to toy with, as well as a ZM B/C... another future project.

The AK is easier to bullpup, IMHO.
