Just finished building my lower and want to build an M4 copy. Can someone steer me towards the parts numbers/ companies the gov't uses?

What sort of budget do you have?

You can get something that has an identical profile, and works as well for a lot cheaper than matching every part number.  .gov contract doesn't mean best available.
Simplest way is to just start buying lots of COLT stuff.  That just wasn't for me.

Are you set on a 14.5" barrel with A2 hider?  That means an SBR.
SDI Extended A2, Phantom, Vltor VC-1, SEI Vortex - permanently attached would be non-NFA length
14.7" barrel with permed A2 would suffice as well.

Govenment or SOCOM profile would be the next issue - Colt and CMMG have both, LMT, Bushmaster, Sabre, and a few others have govvy.

Add a KAC M4 RAS, rear BUIS (Matech, KAC, ARMS, TROY, etc.), and optic and you're done.  If you're making a replica clone - you'd even have to choose older style, or newer COTS modified versions (with MagPul Stocks, Grips, Magazines)

No prob with the budget, and yeah the SBR is too much trouble. Just wondering what companies the govt uses for the various parts. Not really crazy about Colt either. Saw a govt issue at an air show and it was really nice, he was guarding an F 117 with no mag or ammo, go figure. I wanted to build one up just like his. By the way McDill/Tampa where the airshow was is the hQ of CENTCOM and SOC.
