Just got done completely my first ar build (minus optics).  It is a stag lower with a middy del-ton kit that has the upgrade yhm 4 rail free float handguard and chrome lined barrel.  It ended up being just a hair more than I was looking to spend but overall so far without shooting it I'm pleased.  The only thing I'm not to fond of is how shiny the del-ton upper is compaired to the stag lower but if it shoots good that won't bother me to much.

Have you tried to wipe your upper down with a rag?  I thought my DTI upper looked extremely shiny too until I realized it had a pretty good coating of oil on it.  Now it's almost a perfect match for my Anvil Arms lower.

If its brand new and never been fired or cleaned, you will see a different color on both.. Just take it out and shoot it.. Then clean it..

I am building a similar rifle to what you stated. I am using a Del-Ton Rifle Kit and an Anvil lower. How do you like the fit/finish. How does it shoot?

Try to get pics up soon, seem to have misplaced my camera at the moment.  I haven't had a chance to shoot the gun yet and its driving me crazy.  Hopefully I get the chance to do so in the next day or two.
