Do all the collapsible buttstocks rattle. I just installed a CAA buttstock from Midwayusa and I can say I am not really impressed with the fit. Would a Magpul CTR be any better?

Don't have a CAA but the CTR locks up pretty tight esp. the farther it is extended (for some reason in fully collapsed position there's minimal play). The commercial tubes ones, I've read about on here, may not lock up as well. Have had the CTR, LMT SOPMOD, Vltor basic MOD and E-Mod, M4's and original Colt 2-position collapsible and they all fit well with very minimal play (all mil-spec tubes).

The CTR is really nice and solid.  I would go that route.  Go to a shop and pick one up on a rifle that has one installed.  You will notice a difference.

+1

I really like the CTR.  The only one that feels better to me is the SOPMOD.

hmaverick - That fixed it. Thanks. I put a strip of tape full length down both sides. I was too tight. I had to take one side off.
