Ever seen a FSB that had one of the pins come out from the left, and the other one come out from the right?  I thought they both came out from the same side.

Nope, can’t say I ever have.

Maybe one taper pin was drilled before lunch, the job set to the side to eat, then the other drilled after lunch.

AR Assembler: “Opps! Drilled the wrong side.” “I’ll let it slide. QC won’t notice anyway.”

Are you sure they're tapered pins and not straight pins?

My calipers show .001 difference on each end on both pins........so, no I'm not sure.  Both pins have one end that is semi-rounded and the other end of the pin is flat.

.001 is not enough of a difference to qualify it as a taper pin.

My guess is straight pins.

If they were taper pins, all you'd have to do is just roll them on the table and they'd turn one direction of the other. If they go straight, then they're straight pins, in which case I guess it really doesn't matter what direction they go in/come out (though I personally put them back in the way they came out.)
