[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Buliding an A-2

So I have an A-2 upper left over from my first AR and I have decided to build my first rifle from scratch with and will be giving the rifle to my dad it will probly be his one and only AR. My question is I have been checking the EE for used parts but he would prefer it for the exception of the upper to be built of new parts, but where should I go to get them there are so many places I dont know where to start.

A "leftover" A2 I had got a Bushmaster barrel, handguards and charging handle from PK Firearms and an LMT BCG from Denny's and has turned out to be a very nice little shooter. Two sources, quick delivery, good to go.

found parts on AR15-kits.com and there are many more sites with parts you may just have to shop to get the best deal.
